Would much preferred to have seen it over at the Studios, as some of the concept art showed.

I couldn't agree more. Isn't it silly. When MGM is hurting for more activities I don't understand why this isn't over there. Who cares if MGM is already show-heavy, this fits into there much more.

Also, I don't understand why they went to the trouble for a seperate stage, eating up more guest area in TL, when they could have just used the theater.

Because the budget was destined for MK and got used there. It is about helping guest flow in MK and by putting it in that space they can draw people to an area of the park that is never busy. Hopefully the noise will draw people away from the bottleneck at the entrance to Tomorrowland Bridge.

Guest area? That area has never been used properly (and Magic Music Days don't count). I believe that the Galaxy will be used for a Christmas show again this year hence why HSM needed a new temp stage.

But that's complete nonsense since a couple months ago you emphatically stated that TL was way too congested. Especially the corner of TL where this new stage and show are. That expanding into the TL pad would be the worst move because of how crowded TL gets.

So now we need some cheeseball show that 80% of guests will breeze by on their way to hot dogs to help add traffic to the land?

Ok, back to the old point. But you must be visiting a different TL than I. I agreed with your prior points that around Buzz and the strollers it's a nightmare, but how is the bridge a bottleneck? Other than during peak times when Wishes is shown?

You're right about that area, and I understand the Christmas show. But that doesn't mean they couldn't have used the theater for this show too. The Christmas show is for the hard ticket event, so where is the conflict?

This smacks more of, again, people trying to justify their work, trying to justify their budgets and their job duties. Because we all know that resources should be spent on setting up a temporary stage when other space is open - instead or repainting the peoplemover or fixing Brer Rabbit.

TL is only congested in one thin corridor from the Bridge (which technically goes right past SGE), past SGE and Buzz (and will be even worse when the Comedy Club opens), to the left around the jets platform and on to Space Mountain. The expansion pad is on the other side of TL which has never been busy or even served much of a purpose.

It is proving popular enough so far. I personally don't think it is a cheesball show. It is exactly what MK needed; more family-based entertainment. Personally I think the edgier streetmosphere of D-MGM is more appropriate for that park than this.

But then I'm a HSM fan. It is classic bubblegum entertainment. Smart story, snappy script and some excellent tunes. Breaking Free is one of the best pop tunes I've heard in years.

And that's fine. But it just doesn't reconcile with your past comments that that crowding would make you NOT want them to use that pad. So why add another stage into area that guests could venture off to to get away from the crowds. Regardless, a minor quibble considering I agree with you about the crowding and stroller gridlock.

And I can appreciate that. It just, imo, doesn't belong in TL when MGM is available. Wouldn't you say that it fits better in DCA? It's like saying it should be at Tomorrowland Terrace instead of DCA. It wouldn't be the first production like this to be at DL Tomorrowland Terrace or MK Galaxy Theater, but it's better at DCA and, imo, MGM.
