The weather was absolutely beautiful. It didn’t rain at all for the whole vacation! We gave Chela a Disney guide for Christmas. She had never been to WDW, so I wanted her to know what attractions etc she would really like to see. She was really fascinated by the prospect of Epcot and mostly the world showcase. We arrived at the gates just as it was opening for the day. We went over to the Land (I was really surprised at the change in The Land building) and got fast passes for later in the morning. I only got the fast passes for Chela, Des and Ty. Airelyce would be too short and I decided to sit out with her as I am not a fan of heights…We decided to take the kids over to Imagination. They loved the ride, but I still miss the first version! We spent some time in the upstairs of Imagination. We had our picture taken by the largest digital camera in the world and also sent out some emails. Next we went to see HISTA. Kind of scary for our little one, but she braved through it. We still had a few hours to wait for World Showcase, so it was off to SSE. I love this ride, but it seemed like it was in need of repair. Hope that Siemens is serious about improving this attraction. TT was closed for renovations, so we decided to try Energy. Never went on this attraction…and probably won’t again. Not one of my favorites. It was time to head to Soarin’. Lyce and I went to see the Circle of Life while the others rode Soarin’ They loved it! There is something about the architecture of Epcot that I find very soothing. One of my favorite parks. Well, it was time to head over to WS. We decided once again, to take our time and see as much of the WS as possible. We bought the kids passports so that they could get signatures and stamps as well as do the Kidcot mask activity center. We started with Mexico (which I now hear is going backwards??) We took the kids to the Kidcot center to get their masks and first stamp. We also rode the boat ride. We spent some time talking to the young girl that was painting figurines. Chela danced with the Mariachi band on the way to Norway and the Maelstrom. I love this ride! There were no lines, so we rode it twice. We worked our way around the showcase trying to sample something to eat from every country. The kids were happy to see that some countries had either characters or princesses. Airelyce was dressed up as Snow White. She couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw her twin in Germany. Snow White was so kind and spent at lot of time talking to Lyce. We got some great shots. Destinee was dressed up like Jasmine, so of course we looked for her in Morocco. We found her. Jasmine also was very attentive to Des. Ty was mesmerized by Alladin. These characters really are to be commended. They treat every child like they are the only children in all of WDW. Not an easy thing to do. Ty bought a “red fez†like Alladins’ and the shopkeeper explained how to wear the hat etc. Very patient. Next it was on to the belly dancing show. Des got to dance up on stage! What fun! I think we managed to see some kind of show in every country! Airelyces’ favorite show was The British Invasion in the UK. She (and her brother and sister) just danced and danced. The band members came down from the gazebo to dance with them. They were pretty good. They brought me back to the 60’s! We ended our tour in Canada (which I learned is where popcorn was invented!) The masks and pastports were complete. We headed back to the UK to get our orders of fish and chips. By now the kids were completely tired out! We had wanted to stay for Illuminations, but decided against it. We didn’t think that we wanted to fight the crowds and buses with 3 tired kids..We decided that we would just pass and hope to see it another day. Only one more day to go. We feel kind of sad, but we have had such a great week. On to the MK for our last day.
