I haven not been able to find alot of information on all of the different tours that are offered. I would love some insight if anyone has any.

Checked out the Manns Chinese Theatre. Went into Disney's Soda Fountain Shop. You get the picture. There is plenty to do on your own, all within walking distance if you don't want to take a tour. Otherwise, hop in the car and have fun exploring!

    I have more fun discovering things on my own than following a crowd and a mandated program. But, thats probably being I hate the feeling of being "stuck" in any situation.

    We did this last time we were in LA. It was the Friday night before the Academy
    Awards so we saw the red carpet and viewing stands being set up.

The La Brea Tar Pits and Page Museum is really close to Hollywood and it's a cool, cheap thing to see. There's also the Natural History Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry (LOTS of hands-on things to do there) in Exposition Park. If you get bored in Hollywood, there's always stuff like that to do too.

    My daughter's 8th grade class will be doing a 5 day class trip at the end of the school year. The places you mentioned are on the list of places they will be visiting. It is an annual trip and I have heard nothing but good things about the places you mentioned. I know my daughter is really excited about it!!
