We want Aircon and room service facilities, and the HNY works out cheaper than the Admiral's floor at the rubbish NBC. But I am finding it hard to decide. The HNY offers the best value usually, but if there is a conference on, the experience can be reduced, plus it's not the most kid friendly. But it is a lovely place to stay. But I am really tempted by the DLH this time with character breakfasted included each morning, no need to go through the stupid security checks, a free fastpass every day, valet parking, and with two kids this age naps/swimming will be welcome when the park is open 8-11. I think I am swaying towards the DLH, but at an extra £600, 900 euro, $1200, I am not 100% percent sure it is worth it. We have stayed here before, but we were a couple then. We almost always have a meal or cocktail at the DLH, so we know the public areas well. I welcome your thoughts.

I do not really have enough AL left this year to warrant the cost of APs, and since Jess will be of the age where we will need to buy 4 (£652, or $1304), the kids go free make the DLH seem like a more attractive prospect.

There is a cheaper one with blackouts, for $400 less, but they do not include EMH or free rentals. Whereas the HNY is $2400 for 5 nights include 6 day hopper passes, and the DLH is $3600. That's compared to $2200 for the Sequoia Lodge. We 1st started thinking Davy Crockett - at $1900, but they only start serving breakfast at 7:30, which means getting in about 90min after EMH starts. Holiday Inn want $1500 excluding breakfast and passes. And Marriott is booked virtually all summer, and the 3 nights available there are the same price as DLH excluding breakfast and passes. So the DLH looks like a nice deal for a change given our circumstances. But it is a lot of money that could be better spent elsewhere.

P&V is coming out at around £900 for 3 nights for 2 rooms that sleep 7 (we have 1 infant) and I was then hoping to buy AP's for everyone who needs them, but August 30-31st are blackout days. Maybe staying on site (4 rooms somewhere cheap a la Cheyenne might be better). I'd rather not do Davy Crockett. In reply to your question, I say DLH doesn't seem worth the extra cost to me. How many nights are we talking?!!!

I tried looking on the french website and couldn't find it. I would be keen for a link if you have it Kiz. We are probably looking at 5 nights, 6 days. We would like room service/or a kitchen, air con and a pool - so it seemed like the HNY and DLH were working out great value. I can get a week at the old P&V for £585 right now, but because of the AP issue, this did not seem like a great deal compared to kids go free. If the free AP deal is still on, then it becomes attractive again. As for DLH not being worth it, I used to think that. But I am wondering with the long hours, inclusive character breakfasts and fastpasses, my opinion is changing. I know staying at the GCH made a huge difference to our stay in DL.

We have opted this year for SLodge but then we have no kids to think of and are going early July!! still seems a long way off!!!!

It's just not the proper season for conventions... I'm not saying that DLH is a bad hotel - far from it - but I never found it worth the extra cost compared to the New York...
