EE great ride

Well I finally went on EE Wed. I had not watched any of the videos and looked at few pics before hand as not to spoil it for myself.

I thought it was terrific. All of the effects were in place and I guess they replaced the "bird on a stick" because it wasn't there. The queue was well done and the ride itself is certainly repeatable for me. This may be one of the best rides for it's kind that I have been on.

Let me end by saying this is my opinion which on these boards I am encouraged to express. For those that it was less than they expected I'm sorry you were disappointed but for me and as I saw many others it was worth the wait.

I really enjoyed EE as well. The buildup to the ride in the queue was fantastic. Just looking at the mountain rising over it site in Animal Kingdom is a sight to behold.

Still, I am partial to BTMRR in the MK. I think it is still the best Disney mountain ever, and hard to beat for sheer fun.

I was expecting the final drop on EE to be a little more gut wrenching. I thought the Yeti was awesome, though.

I have never seen AK that crowded. I couldn't believe the # of cars in the parking lot. This ride has really done a lot for this park. My daughter said they are putting in a TS restaurant. The construction at the old Tarzan Rocks is in full swing.

We only went to a few attractions then went to Epcot for the F&G Festival but was thrilled to see AK so alive.

My son and his GF will be there the same time you will Labuda. He is so looking forward to it. I could be wrong but I think you will be like our friend from across the pond bloona and "LOVE it".

It's funny you mentioned BTMRR mrichmondj because that was the first thing I told my daughter when we got off how similar I thought it was. But for me I liked it even better. I called it a supped up version of BTMRR but I see how you could like BTMRR better as it is great also.

mrichmondj: If you like BTMRR at WDW, get over to DLP if you ever have the chance because DLP's version is even better - long tunnels at both the start and particularly at the finish where you seem to be going "down the rabbit hole" forever.

EE has certainly got the attention of my 15-year old daughter - I'm rearranging some business in Orlando so she and my wife can come out and join me to check out EE in August.

If the plastic bird was not there, then I regret to tell you not all of the effects were in place. Still it is a respectable and repeatable ride. I am satying away from it on purpose so I don't get over it by the end of summer.

Didn't leemac mention in a previous post that they decided to get rid of the bird before the attraction officially opened? Or am I dreaming....

No. The building remains as plain as it did several months ago. I think they are waiting for the trees in the parking lot to grow tall enough to cover the unsightly view of the backside of EE.

Don't worry.. Sooner or later, mildew will start appearing in the back of EE and then colorwise, it will blend better with the trees in that area.
