It will have some must have material not previously announced that will be must have for Park fans.

I read the snippet over at Amazon, and I'm truly excited about this one. It seems to be new 'stuff', but just wanted to make sure. Anyway, this is going to be a great one. I also noticed that the price was much less than previous DVD's. I know that they are not numbered anymore. I'm assuming it's just a cardboard container, and not the metal type. Thanks for any info.

As far as the packaging, I would hope that they continue with the same packaging as previous Treasures so that these new ones match those we already have. I was pleasantly surprised when I read of the content for the Disneyland Treasures DVD. Let's all hope that they will continue this trend and release the rest of the Disneyland anthology shows and other vintage material. My great hope is that they will at long last make color prints of some of the ones that we've only seen in black and white in past years on the Disney Channel. Some sources have said that Walt had the shows filmed in color, but, the Company has never made the effort to make color prints, so what we saw on Disney Channel was the B&W prints. It would be so wonderful to see the two pre-opening reports, An Adventure in the Magic Kingdom, and all of the other old programs in color. It would also be great if they'd include material on old beloved attractions and other Park features that don't exist anymore.

That's a bummer since it's one of my favorite programs that Vault Disney used to air. Here's hoping that the DL DVD won't disappoint!

Color film was expensive back then. It would have been a waste of money to shoot a show in color when it was only going to air once, and that in B&W. Who could have guessed that someday there would be a market for copies of outdated infomercials for Disneyland? Undoubtedly most of the stock footage of the park was shot in color, but the edited negative for the shows themselves would have been B&W. Nowadays, video is usually mastered from the original negatives, so not having a color print would not stop them from making a color DVD - IF it was a color negative. In other words, if you ain't seen it in color by now, odds are you're not going to.
