I have two shots this weekend to see them!!!! Wish us luck and tell us where to go! :)

We walked up about 45 minutes before show time and the road (if you call it that) around the hub was roped off and people were sitting in the street. We sat right to the left of the castle and would have great seats if the fireworks had gone on as scheduled but they were canceled. Hope you get a good spot :)

It's not crowded, and for the Remember fireworks they project images onto the darkened IASW facade. But it is hard to hear the soundtrack because I think the nearest speaker is back before the IASW mall. It's possible to see a bit of Tinkerbell if you turn back and look toward the Matterhorn when you see a star shaped firework. I think that's when you hear "When you wish upon a Star." Sometimes although the wind is calm enough for the show it's not calm enough to allow viewers that close. Then we watch from the little penninsula under the monorail track where the motorboats used to be.

I have tried watching the Remember fireworks from in front of the castle because that is where you catch most of the show elements but to me it wasn't worth the mean crowd and the rockets were further away than I like. People will come last minute and step on you and push you and be downright nasty in their attitude when you aren't bothering anyone. I even saw a woman shoving people aside with the three-year-old she was holding in her arms out in front of her. She almost knocked over the lady standing next to me. That isn't what I come to Disneyland for. This was when the show was relatively new so maybe it's not always that bad. But, also, imagine spending a lot of your Disneyland time staking a perfect castle spot for the fireworks and then the fireworks are cancelled.

Sometimes I've seen the fireworks from the west side of the park because of whatever activities we're doing before or after the fireworks. It takes a while to get through the park because of Fantasmic and firework crowds. The show is pretty nice from beside the Rivers of America and it's usually easy to get a nice spot when the fireworks follow Fantasmic because a lot of people are leaving the very area that you want to be (some stay).

It may seem like I'm way overboard on details, but I am a big fireworks fan so I make sure to get the best I can every night I can.

I also saw the show on the Main Street train station platform. This is a good spot to see the castle/matterhorn elements without the hassle of the hub.
i really think Small World mall is my personal favorite. This past weekend, i tried to catch the show at carnation plaza, but the show cancelled, so i just crossed over to Frontierland and caught the end of Fantasmic. The second night I was at Small World mall and all was going well, until the scene after pirates, then the show cancelled.
The other thing about the hub, i would be wary to be in that large crowd, if the show cancells. Other locations you can disperse easier.
