HOW IS ECONOMY AND GAS PRICES AFFECTING ATTENDANCE

    People plan their vacations months if not years in advance; they're probably not going to cancel for a swing in the price of gas. Down the road Disney has cause to worry, but right now I doubt there is much change in attendance.

    one year I offered Disney trip or presents. I had 3 grands - 2 took gifts - 1 took the Disney trip. I got a kid free flight and everyone was happy. of course that was a while back when the grand was low in attendance and we got an amazing vacation for a cost of not much. I have never stayed at the Grand since.

    :O)))

    The 2 that took the gifts were teens and their electronic gifts were up there in price.

    Well, I am looking forward to a trip in a few years - a weakened US economy means my dollar is worth more. Add to that a huge plethora of hotel rooms, which means 9/11 style panic discounting and I might be looking at being able to afford to stay on property(and EXPERIENCE ALL THAT MAGIC tm rolls eyes), for the firt time!!!!

    If the US dollar goes down then you have to use more dollars. Disney might lower their room prices but they will more than make up the difference by charging more for everything else.
    Once they get you on property they don't let up.
