For the first time in history, Tinker Bell, one of the world’s most beloved animated characters, will speak in an all-new original film that reveals many of life’s wondrous mysteries of nature. From two-time Academy Award® winner John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, and the storytellers at Walt Disney Pictures, comes a spectacular, full-length CG animated movie filled with magic and adventure. Tinker Bell takes flight on October 28, 2008 with a treasure trove of captivating bonus features on Disney DVD and Blu-rayTM Disc.

The 5 parts are out of order, BTW. It's supposed to go Intro - Main Street - Fantasyland - Frontierland - Tomorrowland.

To listen in order, here's what you do:

    0:00 to 1:38
    7:30 to end
    3:36 to 5:27
    1:40 to 3:33
    5:28 to 7:29

I just have very little interest in seeing her in CGI. Too much like watching a Barbie movie.

I have to agree with basil fan, though. If you're going to have a movie focused on the fairies, it will only work if everyone talks.

And that there's a glaring animation error at 1:24, when the orange fairy's arm and hair go right through the pink fairy. This in the PROMO CLIP. Imagine what the rest of the thing is like.

The Pixar revolution is looking mighty shaky ...

The animation looks to be fairly well done for a DTV project, and Tinkerbell still seems to retained most of her original spunk, rather than be watered down to be more kid-friendly. I can't imagine seeing it, but I know that lots of little kids will really love it.

She was in Hope Floats with Sandra Bullock and When a Man Loves a Woman with Meg Ryan.
She was in the short cable series Thief with Andre Braugher also.

At 20 she has done alot of stuff -
Interestingly she replaced Britney Murphy for Tinks voice.

The clip in the original post has her performing. Standard issue spunky tween type voice, coming from someone with actual voice acting experience for a change.

She's way overacting on this clip, but that's probably what the director wanted. It probably would have been perfect if the animation wasn't so stiff.

Yes. They have done some neat stuff with these characters in books over the past few years, where they were hand drawn rather than computer rendered, rather charming and fresh. Too bad they didn't stick with that look.

So true. I saw the video and with Lasseter's introduction, I want to believe it'll be good. But it's yet another example of Disney taking something that feels classic and charming and trying far too hard to make it "hip" or "edgy." I'm haunted by visions of Poochie the Rockin' Dog.

This new movie definitely seems like a huge improvement as far as DTV releases go. They've come a long way in the 14 years since the cheapqual inundation began.

Of course I'm basing this on only a very brief clip, but I couldn't disagree more. Setting aside the overall stiffness, jerkiness, and creepiness -- having one character walk through another? Disney? Heck, you won't even see that kind of thing in the earliest episodes of Veggie Tales.

Return of Jafar was cheap, not incompetent.
