I have what I believe might be a unique opportunity to visit all 5 Disney resorts in a 5 month period of time. So far it hasn't be by specific design just to accomplish that. It's been a series of events that when I started to look at all of them together, I realized that I could possibly accomplish that feat.

First, DLR is my local resort, so I go there many times in any month.

Second, I'm booked to go see one of my other addictions, the NHL Anaheim Ducks, play the LA Kings in London at the end of September, so I decided to go over to DLRP after the games the first week of October.

Third, I will be making my annual trip to TDR in November to see the Christmas offerings there.

Fourth, my family decided they wanted to go to WDW in December for a family vacation, so I'll be at WDW at the end of the year.

So here is where I'm looking for some opinions. After realizing I'll be at four of the five Disney resorts in four consecutive months, I thought to myself "Wow! Should I go to HKDLR in January and complete a sort of a Disney park Royal Flush?".

In other people's opinion, how much of a Disney "accomplshment" would this be? I know that TDLFAN has probably accomplished this many times through his many travels, but other than him and probably people that work for Disney, how common/uncommon would this accomplishment be for a common Disney fan like myself? Have others out here done this? Is it not that big a deal or an opportunity I should try to take advantage of?

I have been to HKDLR before, so it wouldn't be a first for me. However I'm thinking if I add a HKDL trip, "5 in 5" might be something really cool to say I accomplished.

What do y'all think?..."Once in a lifetime chance", "ehh, it's been done", "what ever floats your boat", and of course there is always the "why are you bothering us with this?"

    Thanks! ;)

I've been to WDW (Pre-AK) and DLP (in 1992). I would jump on this chance. People get a kick out of it when I say I've been to Euro-Disney (because, can I really say I've been to DLP?).

Go for it!!! And we expect full trip reports when you get back!

The Downunder Disneyana Club visited all Resorts and Parks in one round the world trip, and after talking with them, it is something we would like to do as well. Check their website for hints.

    Now THAT would be cool!

Combining HKDL with TDR is a thought. That's what I did last time but I sacraficed some time at TDR to fit in HKDL on the same trip. I guess I was thinking January because I accrue my vacation at work on New Years day and as one might imagine, I'm going to be using almost all of this years allotment already. Hmmm...something to consider though.

I was able to visit HKDL 7 months ago because I was already having fun in the Philippines which was a 2 hr flt. away . I would never have crossed the Pacific just for HKDL.

I think the real question here is whether you find HKDL worth a specific trip on its own merits: HKDL is a beautifully adorned, intimate park with a marvelous mountain backdrop but there is a dearth of attractions as you know. You are based close to DLR so a trip over the Pacific translates to approx. 15 hrs worth of plane time with probable stops in Taipei, Seoul or even Tokyo and say a good $1,000( + or - $200)for air fare.
Now, if you don't mind long flights and $ doesn't factor then I say "YES", do it.

As far as the uniqueness of such a feat I'm sure that you would be among a very select few. I wouldn't be surprised to find that less than 20K people on this earth have done a whirlwind tour of all 5 Disney destinations because the only candidates would be Disney employees and subs, people who get to travel to many global spots for work and of those spots Tokyo, Orlando, HK, LA and Paris have to be represented and of course the hard-core fanatics(and of all those Disney park fanatics out there only the more affluent with enough disposable time would be likely to pull it off). Considering that there might well be 6+ BILLION people on this planet you would be in a most elite club.

If you are 1 in a million, there are 6,000 people just like you.

Now if you would really enjoy visiting all five and feel the expense is worth it... have fun!

For me, I just see it as an accomplishment. Like climbing to the top of a mountain or hiking to some remote untouched spot. What I'm wondering is what sence of accomplishment would it really be? If you climb a moutain, or hike to what you believed to be a remote location, only to get there to find a souvenir shop, a Starbucks or a 7-11, you can see how the accomplishment might not seem as fulfilling.

Thanks to everyone that has replied so far. I appreciate it.

I'm not asking anything about your financial status, that's clearly nobody's business other than your own. I'm just thinking traveling around to all 5 Disney parks in a 5 month span not only takes bucket loads of moolah, but lots of time away from work (unless you're retired). It'd be foolish to say I'm not a tad jealous.

If you do it, have a great trip!! Can I come with you? haha (kidding) I'll be happy to see all 5 resorts sometime in my lifetime, right now, I'm trying to save just for my trip out to DL. :)

Good luck in whatever you choose to do!!
