The OC Register reports Disneyland and Disney California Adventure temporarily closed their gates today as each reached capacity crowds. They interview the founder of Mousewait, a smart phone app that tracks ride wait times who offers a comparison of last year wait times to today's posted waits.

It will probably be somewhere 'quick', but DLR has the slowest counterservice in the world. I can only imagine that it will be a lot worse when the parks are close to capacity. Let's hope that the rain in the morning will scare people away for the day!

CA Screamin's line wrapped all the way to Ariel's Grotto. All the fast passes for everything were sold out, and it was only noon.

A lot of this has to do with the heavy rain last week. All the people who were going to go last week are going this week, doubling the travelers. I wouldn't be surprised if the parks close everyday this week.

I wonder if those responsible are kicking themselves that they did not invest in resort parking and transportation sooner, though I doubt they care much right now.

Now, thanks to the economy and my fixed income, I won't be going there but maybe once a year. I will probably enjoy it more.

I'm not sure I follow you. It was reported that DL stopped selling tickets for several hours on several days, and briefly did the same for DCA, because both parks were filled to capacity with guests. Considering that that's with the current parking and transport infrastructure, how would improving parking and transport affect the "sold out" parks one way or the other?

Perhaps if they had invested in resort infrastructure guests wouldn't be boarding a city bus in order to get to the park from remote parking lots several blocks away.
