Plan on being there at least 45 minutes before the show even during the slow times of the year. If you are going to be at WDW during late January and early February 06, please forget what I just said. Actually, it really sucks. ;-)

Mike was our guide both times and he does an excellant job of narrating the story of Illuminations as it unfolds. I knew most of the story but it is such a well thought out program and most people have no idea what is transpiring as the show goes on. I've explained the story several times to people standing around me and they are always amazed to know what is actually going on. It is ashame that Disney doesn't publish it so more people can appreciate Illuminations more fully

Was fun to chat with the other boats on either side of us, too. Plus, I was in Randy Berbaum's pirate group, so we threatened to board the other boats! hehe

Also no problem with smoke here either

Thanks!!>> Make sure you call the FIRST day you are eligible. Last year I figured that there would be no rush since January is a slow time of the year. I waited until about 80 days out. Nothing was available for ANY night we were there.

You have a great view, excellent sound, and you don't have to be there any more than 15 minutes before showtime to get a good spot.
