So I'd like to take him when I know he'll really enjoy it because it will probably be 4-5 years before I can take him again.

The first time we took my son he was just over 2 & my twins were 6 months. We have gone every year since. They may not remember it but they enjoy themselves even at a really young age. I say go for it & HAVE FUN! )
