Just wondering what kind of costumes ya'll are sporting this Halloween, if any at all... Here's mine:
Really cute. We went to a party and I was Eeyore and Rod was Chewbacca. I cannot believe it but we do not have any pictures.
I went as Svengoolie the late night horror movie host out of Chicago. I tried to get my wife to dress up as Elvira but she went as a crazy cat lady instead. She pinned toy cats to a house coat and put curlers in her hair. The kids went as an prison inmate, cheerleader and mummy.
very cool! Thanks for sharing! That crazy cat lady costume reminds me of one I saw a while back... someone dressed in black with a whole bunch of different clothes attached to them and called themselves static cling!
Well, I found these that someone posted on another site. We were invited to make headstones. Mine is for my dog Gadget, who is buried under our pear tree. He took two pix and in the second one I realized that as Eeyore I should not be smiling but he only posted the first one.
Just Groucho nose-glasses. But genuine Beagle Puss Groucho nose glasses. I was a little shocked, two different ways, a year or two ago, when I bought them: first, I was shocked when neither the local "pop-up" Halloween costume shop nor the local party supply had any Groucho nose glasses in stock (I mean, that's an awfully basic thing not to have!), and then shocked again when I went to a local year-round clown-and-costume shop (run by a retired circus clown), and the genuine Beagle Puss brand was so much better than the cheap generic ones I'd bought years ago: the nose is almost lifelike, and the mustache and eyebrows are much more substantial. And no, you bet your life I don't work for the company that owns the Beagle Puss trademark. (Say the secret word, and divide a hundred dollars.)
My parents never did either. But we would sometimes when taking the kids out for Trick-or-Treats. Now, we do it even with the grandkids. It is just so much fun. Costumes were "optional" at the party but more than half were dressed up. I cannot figure who would go to a Halloween party and not want to dress for it.
Three generations here. My granddaughter picked out who each of us would be from Avatar (the cartoon). My daughter's family likes themes.
