I didn't see it but it looks creepy to me and I'm 27. Would any of you show it to your kids if they were that young?

As to whether it will scare him, it depends on his temperament. The 1-year-old might respond to the sounds and colors, but I can't imagine the kid would get anything more than that out of it. By the way...this isn't a Tim Burton movie. He had nothing to do with it. Henry Selick directed it, adapted from the novel by Neil Gaiman.

We fast-forwarded that preview... Parents are a bit crazy these days. To get a little 'scare' from a movie like Coralie isn't necessarily a terrible thing. Is it? I mean, are the kids allowed to watch 'The Wizard of Oz'? Those flying monkey scenes and the The Wicked Witch of the West, and even Oz -- pretty intense scary stuff. Just sayin'

I would really liked to have seen this version! Even if it were animated i'm quite certain Pfeiffer would be quite the improvement over Terri Hatcher.

Of course, we never know what's going to scare the bejeezus out of her. We watched "Space Balls" when she was really little and the part where the alien comes out of the guys stomach and dances scared her to DEATH and, for some reason, she couldn't take a bath alone for years. I have no idea what the bathtub had to do with the whole thing. LOL We're complicated women. ;-)

Big problem for me is that I didn't really care about Coraline, or her dumb parents. Recognize that I find 'Nightmare Before Christmas' tedious after the 'What's This?' scene, so your mileage may vary. I didn't really see anything that would disturb young children. That said, I was asleep for a good 30 minutes.
