It's been fun watching Frolik, Leddy and Ben Smith grow up right before our eyes.

and for the record I did not like Bickels hit on Biexsa any more than I liked Torres hit on Seabrook. Yes, technically it was better because Biexsa actually had the puck, but I wish we wouldn't have lowered ourself to that standard- but can thank the league for the hit today since they chose to see nothing wrong with the one that put Seabrook out 2 games.

Also reading how all the Hawks goals were gifts, yet completely overlook the fact that the first two Canuck goals were on D giveaways from the Hawks - not great Canuck rushes.

    overall tough, hard nosed game...

Feeling better about game 7 -- it appears Luongo might have to play no matter what unless goalie injury less severe than it appeared. So pulled two gams in a row, then doesn't start game 6- then gives up bad rebound for game winner...yeah, I think he may be an emotional mess.
And where is this series if Bolland was there game 1&2 checking Sedin sisters ?

Anyone's series now -- will it be the team that earned the President's cup-- or the team starting to gel after a season of huge changes- 40% of the roster ?? We'll see

I think the Blackhawks are going to win. The noose has gotten real tight around the Canucks and to me playing at home in a situation like this is not an advantage. Not only will the players be tight I think you'll be able to sense it in the crowd too.

If Vancouver doesn't get an early lead or has a few 0-fers on the powerplay that crowd will be ready to hang itself.

Thanks for starting another thread, vbdad! Can we talk about other teams, too?

    Go Hawks!

hockey is one of the sports I see momentum playing a bigger factor in--not sure exactly why, maybe because it is so physical it carries over to every part of the game.

The Canucks played one of their better games of the series yesterday( as their coach said) and lost. Tough to get Mo back on your side- it seems when it goes wrong, it stays wrong. Again as a Cubs fan I have been on the other end of this far too many times.

If the Hawks take an early lead- the crowd will turn quickly...the Hawks have outscored the Canucks 19-11 so far.. this against the team that scored the most goals and gave up the fewest. And all the whining about the refs- really. enuf already, there is no Gary Bettman conspiracy here, when you try and play as physical as the Canucks were you're going to get called a lot of the time. Especially considering they were not that team during the regular season- much more of a finesse team, Funny thing is they play better as a finesse team but somehow felt they had to 'avenge' the past 2 years- and changed their game - IMHO.

I will be very surprised if the Hawks lose Tuesday -- yet I don't see them getting to the finals this year.
The Hawks will get past Nashville then likely get knocked out by Detroit. That's how I see it --
The Canucks- if they can win Tuesday will lose the next series- they are mentally drained....

The loss of Crosby and Malkin for the season has certainly taken its toll on the Penguins. And the Lightning appear ready to strike again... I hope not...

He went immediately to the dresssing room instead of the bench-- and has been playing with it but the docs determined iut had to be repaired.

so this crap about the mean old Hawks- the only players to miss time for injuries from cheap play- are Hawks..

that player will be getting his one day also.. it was blatant and rigth on camera- and in fromt of one linesm,an and one ref- who looked at it and called nothing-- NHL conspiracy my backside---

WHy don't they ask why two of them are not suspended for injuring other players ? Bickel is one of our few bigger forwards- it's going to hurt- we're a fairly small team size wise.

Sorry vbdad. If the Hawks eliminate the Canucks tonight, they have a date in San Jose. Detroit will be playing Nashville.

We are ready to avenge the sweep by Chicago in the Conference finals last year.

    Go Sharks!

If the Blackhawks make it, it will certainly be interesting, what with Antti Niemi and Ben Eager on the Sharks now. If not for Niemi last year the Blackhawks don't win the Cup last year, period. And if not for a salary arbitration that never should have happened, Niemi would still be in Chicago. Oh well.

Looking forward to Sharks series- that will be great hockey- just hoping to eliminate this cheap shot team-- and all the crying about refs -- too bad Hawks have to concentrate on winning game or we could be running some of their super soft players who have been spared hits all series because our player are not dumb enough to think you can do what you want and not have more penalties than the other team

Either way I don't think you'll hear any whining coming from Hawks brass about lack of calls in this game--

AS for Niemi still being in CHicago- likely-- but quite frankly couldn't play any better than Crawford who has higher save % -- so it worked out. Actually think Hawksmiss gusy like Eager more.
