I would explain to him that it looks bad for him now and the Falcons will welcome him back with no strings attached once he clears his name. No team can have the stigma of players participating in illegal activities - it not only hurts the player himself, but the whole team. If he is guilty then I am sure in his contract there is some type of clause that would release the Falcons from the liability of his contract. He is suppose to be someone for young kids to look up to and to aspire to be like. If he was truely involved in this then shame on him - he makes tons of money and there is no excuse for bad behavior. If you are talented and your are able to be someone kids look up to and you take on that responsiblity then you should make sure you honor that - and not make stupid mistakes like this. Everyone makes mistakes now and then but this was avoidable!

I know what this guy stands for ( and I have seen his life story tape - LOL ! ) - and Michael Vick is not it ( nor is Marcus Vick- but I digress) -- He has to decide how he wants to be viewed, and I am not naive, I understand he is not going to field a team of angelic cherubs - doesn't work that way -- but this is more negative press than he wants and his return for it is sold seats ( maybe) - I think Vick will be gone, but that is just my guess. ( btw if found guilty you can rest assured Goodell will have him sitting with Tank Johnson and Pacman -- so it is not like you will see him on the field) --

Our sportswriters say something similar to what you have said about Arthur, vbdad, they say that listening between the lines today, Michael Vick will never play football for the Atlanta Falcons again, ever, not as long as Blank owns. I have to agree with this assesment. Blank even said, "my ten year old understands the implications of the charges, and Micael Vick is a role model to him..." That pretty much says it all right there. I hate to see Vick's career end this way, but I never thought he was the guy to take us to the Big Show anyway. I don't think Harrington is either. We are set back years now.

To the original post question....My answer would be "dump him" guilty or not....The Falcon's along with the NFL doesn't want PETA showing up at every game played....

Lots and lots of entertainers are just "doing their thing", decent humans and then we have idiots like Vick mudding up the waters. They need to fire him.
