I have to go in for a liver ultrasound. My doctor thinks that it might be my migraine medicine (Topamax) that is causing liver inflamation and that if that's the case, stopping the medication should get everything back to normal in a couple of months, but I'm still a little scared.

I need some nice people to tell me that everything is going to be allright.

The liver is a remarkable organ that can take a lot of punishment over a long time. It's amazingly resilient. If you really don't drink, then yours is probably better than most.

Hepatitis still can't be ruled out entirely without tests. Watch your urine and stools closely. Sorry, but it's important to do. Extremely dark urine or light grey stools are trouble signs.

You're absolutely right to be concerned and aware, just don't fly off the handle - whatever it is, it's probably fixable, and your enzymes will fall to normal levels without you ever actually experiencing any illness at all.

Keep us posted because we'll be thinking of ya!

The hardest part is sitting in the office waiting for the doc to come in with your results. The best part is the feeling you get when you find out you are going to be fine!
Trust me, I know exactly how you feel.

It is going to be alright. Happened to me once and it was medication related.

One thing that helped was to drink a cup of hot water with lemon juice (about the juice of half of a lemon) each evening before bed and each morning. Helped to clean out the liver.

    Don't worry.

So that is my first choice for you. Second would be a med reaction but while that would be easily resolved, you'd have to start with some new migraine meds.

Let us know which day you are having your test so we can send lot's of positive thoughts :)
