Found out that they'd planned on Thursday to be able to move him to a regular room on Friday, but as of this morning he's still in ICU. But, boy howdy, you should've seen him peop up when my uncle turned on the tv and found the UT-Nebraska game. Anyhow, Granddad is nice & cranky, but I am admitting to myself at last how old he is and what kind of health he's in, so that's a bit rough, but Tuesday after I get off work, I'm going to head back down anmd hope that I at least get to visit my granddad in a regular hospital room instead of an ICU. Anyhow, thanks for the good wishes, y'all - much appreciated.

Spoke with my brother Sunday after he left the hospital, and per myt big brother, Granddad had just received his second transfusion and was doing a bit better again, closer to the way he felt Friday before taking a downturn on Saturday. As of yesterday afternoon, though, he was still in the ICU, and that's where I'm expecting to see him when I get to the hospital this evening. Anyhow, thanks again for the good thoughts, prayers, and pixie dust.
