Teacups 5. Other ________________>> Answer: 1. It was FAB, but I'm pretty sure Ariel was coming to get me. Brr. Scary. <<Walking from Space Mountain from the Jungle Cruise seemed: 1. Longer than at DL 2. Shorter than at DL 3. 'bout the same 4. Hey, how 'bout dem Segways?>> Answer: 1. So many new things to look at, everything seemed longer. <<The WDW Castle was: 1. Stunning as seen from Main St. 2. So pretty, MrsNurmi teared up 3. Ghastly and overdecorated 4. Gianormous compared to DL's.>> Answer: 4 and 2. Hey, thenurmis teared up too. We are *such* saps. Then we remembered the kids and teared up some more. Guess we'll have to take them to see it for themselves... <<True or False (circle one):>> Answers Below: I couldn't figure out how to circle. Admins, can we get that feature, please? <<Boma is better than Ohana>> False. Ohana was one of my favs, Boma was awesome for breakfast, but I'm not particularly adventurous. Those scalloped potatoes were amazing at Ohana. Plus, I got to have dinner with Indigo there. (oh, and Staceypooh and Indigo Sr., Indigo's grandma, oh the list just goes on. But Indigo wins the cutie pie prize). <<Doobie is a good driver and knows WDW well>> Yeeeeahh, about that. We only got lost once or twice. Doobie, that's a BUS lane. >>We rode the monorail at least twice<< True indeed! >>The Fireworks were great<< True!! We saw Boolieve!! Too fun. >>We want to live at the GF<< It *is* amazing, but really, it's Doobie who wants to live there. I'm more of a Polynesian girl. Rob, on the other hand, is happy with a cardboard box in the parking lot. Maybe a tarp. >>The Polynesian is perfect for Buzz and Ursula<< Oh my goodness! True, but they will have to share it with Holly and me. Sadly, I will weigh about 700lbs after all of those cheesy potatoes at Ohana. >>Doobekah makes a great Tour Guide<< THE BEST!! Gotta add Benji in there somehow, (Doobenjkah?) but there are none better. >>Epcot World Showcase Section (fill in the blanks)<< The beer at ___The International Food and Wine Festival kiosk that had Stella Artois___ was better than the beer at ___Germany, 'cause Rob had this dark icky thing___. Maelstorm was so exciting we _contemplated why all the faces on the wall - male and female - looked exactly the same (inbreeding, anyone?)___ at the oil derrick scene. >>In Mexico, we drank margaritas ______ we rode It's a Small Mexico.<< Umm, can you believe we missed Mexico? Hey, Benji, how did we miss Mexico?? Where exactly *was* Mexico? >>World of Tomorrow Section<< Mission:Space made thenurmis _wish he had never injested__ groceries. MrsNurmi thought Spaceship Earth was _extremely cool in a 'hey, we're inside the golfball thing' kind of way__. >>Animal Kingdom Section True or False (circle one)<< Again with the circling thing. Yeesh. >>The Animals are hard to see in the middle of the day<< False! We had to stop for Ostriches in the track and all the animals were out (however, sleeping). >>The safari was awesome<< True!!! But it made me think of Holly. I think this will be her favorite park. >>It is more humid at the AK than any other place on the planet<< I'm gonna go with F. We never had any humidity, unless you count that building we were inside of at Nasa where they were working on the space station components. Yikes. >>Primeval Whirl looks like a ride imported from DCA<< Okay, now you're dragging me into your political brawls! But yes. It's true. >>Regardless, Primeval Whirl was fun<< Umm, we gave it a pass. Spinny, Spinny, Spinny, BARF. >>Essay Section In 500 words or more, please compare and contrast the differences between WDW and DL. Be sure to include something on all of the parks, and oh, yeah, please tell us if you had any fun.<< Okay, since you asked... We had SO much fun. We didn't want it to EVER END!! Doobekah were the most gracious hosts, and Benji is my new hero. (Though I'm sure he's still trying to figure out how to get the aerosol cheese to stay on the Slim Jims.) I loved Magic Kingdom for its own charm and, well, magic. I can't say that I prefer any one park over another; they all have their amazing qualities. I kept seeing everything for the first time, being so glad to be there with Rob, but at the same time thinking about how the kids would react to things. I can't wait to take Stewart to Mission Space and Test Track. I can't wait to show Holly Animal Kingdom. I can't wait until we can mock the Norway pavilion with Richard (swear to God, every person painted on that wall looked EXACTLY like our friend Royd. Even the women. Brrrrr...) - not to mention the film at Canada. (I feel I should take this moment to point out the fact that the lovely sweeping scenic view of Vancouver in that film is now all condos.) Oh, the mocking of the Canada pavilion - I can see it now. Good times will be had by all. Perhaps in March? Hmm... you never know.. Ursula, you and Buzz up for a spring break trip? Dave? Sounds like a road trip to me!!

Incredible 2. Bright enough to be seen from space 3. Powered by enough electricity to light up four WDW's. 4. Bah-humbug<< Answer: Unlit and kinda just hanging there. You could *imagine* the gaudiness potential, but ya couldn't actually see it. We left before it started. I have this vision of driving into Las Vegas at night, and we could see the lights for miles and miles and miles before we actually arrived in the city. I'm thinkin' you can see it from Miami. >>The Drive-in Diner was: 1. Loads of fun 2. Crowded 3. Too dark to see your food. 4. Odd that the pathway to the bathroom is lined by stage walls.<< Answer: 1 and 3. I'm picky, and there were unidentifiable things in my pasta, but that's totally just me. We had a blah waitress, but totally enjoyed the interaction of the waiter in the car next to us with the kids there. They were having a blast, and that helped ease the pain of the waitress who just wanted her shift to be over. >>Rockin' Rollercoaster was: 1. Cool 2. Better than Screamin' 3. Too loud 4. Silly. Who is Aerosmith anyway?<< Answer: 1 and 2. (Sssh! Don't tell Screamin', I wouldn't want to hurt any feelings!). The twisty launch was extremely cool! >>True or False: (circle one) Florida's TOT is better than DCA's<< True. I feel so disloyal! >>There are too many shops in the Studios<< I'm sorry, I don't understand the phrase 'too many shops'. Is this some foreign language? I've never used those words together before... Okay, Magic Kingdom was my fav, but the Studios was a pretty close second. Oh, and Epcot. And Animal Kingdom. AAAAAHH! Sensory overload. We'll just have to go back to make a decision!
