Richard Dreyfus plays "Mystic", the Wizard and Zooey Daschnal (sp?) is the lead, "D.G." (Get it? D.G.=Dorothy Gale). It does, however, seems to make Disney's very dark "Return to Oz" film from the 1980s seem downright cheery and whimsical! I'm curious as to how they resolve this interpretation!

In other words, I am liking the mini series much more since I decided to completely separate it from what I know to be The Wizard of Oz.

The biggest problem with it was that it really was a cyber/steam punk world and not OZ. In the real OZ the whole world is magical. In Tin Man the whole thing was technology with just a dash of magic. We thought the blantant leather, rubber and metal costumes were a bit over the top and reminicent of leather events simular to those found in San Francisco or Amsterdam, The Netherlands( I'm trying to think of a G rated way of saying this so this post doesn't get admined ). There is a place for Bob Mackey in this world.
