Or is this just more rantings by Mr. Hill? The reason for the name change that he gives sounds rather a lame one, but, after thinking about it, Disney's HORRORWOOD Studios and Disney's HOLLYDAY Studios is kind of interesting. Reminds me of how Knott's Berry Farm changes their name to Knott's SCARY Farm at Halloween and Knott's MERRY Farm at Christmas. Anyone know more? Spirit????

As to the nighttime Halloween parties, that concept has been pushed for heavily at least twice that I know of ... once in 1997-98 and again after the tourist slump following 9/11 when Disney thought it might be a way to get more Floridians in the gates. It's bound to happen sooner than later. It's too good an idea not to.

A Nightmare Before Christmas darkride sounds great, especially for a park that needs more ride attractions. But that ride, probably Tower of Terror, and a Jack Skellington make-over alone can't be enough to have an event like this, can it? Or will they possibly borrow from the Hong Kong Disneyland concept for Halloween happening there now? A temporary eerie haunted walk-thru attraction (like HKDL's Haunted Hotel on Main Street) sounds like a good attraction to have, also. Perhaps a haunted version of Rock'n Roller Coaster and Toy Story Mania are in the works, too? As you can tell, I'm a bit skeptical to think that just one new ride can support a Halloween makeover to compete with USF. I'd love to hear the ideas, if any, that have leaked out of WDI for this possible event!

Oh, and I wasn't too crazy about the "plywood flats" concept being intentional to look as if Jack made it himself. Jim Hill says Tim Burton is pleased with the look, but I wonder if it was done out of budget problems, or truly artistic vision? It will hopefully not look like a temporary attraction...if it's built that is.
