Taking the monorail from the MK to the Contemporary and then taking a bus from the Contemporary to Downtown Disney was fairly trouble-free. I was even able to see that the check-in level of the CR was nowhere near as boring as I remembered. I arrived at DTD about a half hour earlier than expected so I spent some time browsing at the Art of Disney. Soon I meet my niece and her boyfriend and we had an EXCELLENT meal at Raglan Road. The food there is truly some of the best I've had at WDW. When it was time to go my niece (Kat) offered to drive me back to the Boardwalk. Her boyfriend agreed and even said he would be happy to take me to a place "off World" where I could buy smokes for less than $10.60 per pack. Happy happy, Joy, Joy! I got back to the Boardwalk, refreshed myself in my room and went down to the Belle Vue Lounge. Once there I had a good time chatting with the guys at the bar. Then I heard a familiar voice at my back... my friends Patti and Paul were there!! It was a WONDERFUL surprise seeing them. We had great conversation and drinks until I decided that I really needed to go back to my room. I actually should have decided that about a half-hour earlier, but oh well. It was an interesting day, even if it was not what I expected it would be. At least now I can remember most of it!! LOL

But after riding those, seeing Country Bears, Hall of Presidents and maybe Splash, I am still wishing the MK were up to the standard of DL or DLP. I think the Fantasyland upgrade will help the MK greatly.
