It would have to be pretty damned spectacular to be better than THAT. And yes, IOA is far superior to USF.

I still havn't decided if to buy the Universal park tickets or not, I have a lot of time already dedicated to Disney and Sea World. I'm thinking as no one is really rating the Simpsons ride to highly, I may skip the Resort completely and wait until Potter opens.

*** note: I really don't like the Simpsons show one bit but I thought this ride was done very well ***

I agree, though, that I o A is a better park than US. However, US has the Simpsons, the Mummy ride and Halloween Horror Nights all going for it, so it's not bad at all. :)

    Great, fun ride.

And so much detail and inside jokes everywhere ... both from the series and poking fun at the Mouse and theme parks in general.

    Terrific.

Careful though....... I previously asked that about Mummy and someone said 'they are the same' and after I rode both the two versions were dramatically different.

    True,
but there could be very different facades with beckoning props and unique queues as well as capacity. I would think that there is an extremely high likelihood that the actual ride portion is a clone.

    My exact sentiments!

When I first rode Back to the Future here in the Hollywood park .. I was impressed with the queue .. till I rode the actual attraction.

The seams between each panel within the screen was noticeable. The proximity of the DeLorean vehicles to the screen was too close. And no matter how good IMAX's resolution was ... It was still a blury, fuzzy, grainy film.

Not to mention the whiplash of an incredible array of ultra sharp moves!

Not quite the "polish" I associate with a "Disney" park attraction.

But that was when Back to the Future was new. (Quite a few years ago, now!)

Did they ever attempt a "seemless" screen for "The Simpsons"?

And I bet the jump from Live Action ("B/future") to Cartoon ("Simpsons") eliminated the need to for a high resolution picture - being simple animation.
