I think I'm going to splurge and get the Definitive Collection from Amazon. It has every episode, along with documentaries & cast commentaries. It really looks like a great set.

Right now, I'm watching an episode I haven't seen before via IMDB, The Passerby. It's a Civil War era episode, and it's really wonderful so far.

As far as favorite episodes (honestly, I haven't seen that many, sooo. . .), I have to go with Masks, It's a Good Life, The Changing of the Guard, Deaths-Head Revisited, The Grave & A Stop at Willoughby. There are also two episodes that I love which I cannot think of the titles of. The first is the one with Talky Tina, and the second one is about a shy, reserved man who falls in love with a miniature doll who only he sees coming to life in a museum.

We were soooo excited when we were in the library of ToT and looked up and one of the little martian suits was up there. I waited back until everyone had left the library and snuck a picture.

    Charming. LOL

I don't think they played the hour long episode where a colony of humans living in space is rescued. Their leader is a control freak who wants them all to stick together once they get back to Earth. I can't quite recall the title ("On Thursday We Leave For Home"?) It's one of my favorites.

We also love "Kick the Can". It's not creepy at all.

I also like the one where Julie Newmar plays the Devil. I don't think that one was on this time around. Tune in on July 4th. ;-)

That Definitive Collection is almost 40% off right now on Amazon. Wish I could justify the cost :(

I'm not a big fan of the 'comedy' episodes. Burgess Meredith as Mr. Dingle for example. I like when the stories are more serious or weird. The hour long episodes tend to drag too. I was also disappointed that SciFi Channel seems to cut pieces from the episodes -- a good reason to buy the DVD set.

Even saw a couple of 'Twilight Zone' episodes that I'd never seen before.

One about a WWI British pilot who lands in his Sopwith Camel into present day (1959) America. Confusion ensues.

The other one I'd never seen starred Jack Albertson. He's married to his lovely wife and they have 2.5 kids, and they hang out and have block parties with other families. They all hang out and get hammered and love each other.

Until, the radio announces that an unidentified object is headed toward the U.S. Panic ensues and they all run home -- except only one family has a bomb shelter. And the close friendships quickly unravel.

It's one of those episodes that is as effective today as it was in 1960. Very well done.

    It's a great show.

Being a fan of the Twilight Zone is very helpful for being a Simpsons or Futurama fan as well :) Multiple references abound.

Man, the wife in that episode is crazy mean. Hard to fault the guy for not wanting to chat her up.

Also the rocket crashing on what the astronauts think is another planet when it's only the desert. Finally, the normal looking woman who was considered ugly by the pig looking people. I didn't like the scary ones because I went to bed after watching and got creped out.
