I concur with Russ's comments. With the Gallery closing, maybe this is now closer to reality?

This project has been on again and off again for months and months. Who know if it's going to happen. Disney changes it's mind more often than I change my socks.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. If River Belle closes for what amounts to a total rebuild, I wouldn't be suprised at all if Bengal Barbecue were removed entirely. That entire complex is packed incredibly tightly, with a dreadful backstage area--I could see Imagineering taking advantage of the rebuild and pushing the footprint of RB out a bit, as well as extending the backstage areas to use the BBQ areas.

We'll all find out if and when something happens. ;)

But here's a thought, what if that menu ends up in a refurbished Aladdin's Oasis/Tahitian Terrace?

    Food for thought...

As to an eatery in the Aladdin's facility--shifting the Bengal BBQ over there and sprucing it up into a full menu like Rumbi Island Grill offers would be fabulous (more skewers, rice/veggie bowls & sides, salads, fresh juice drinks, etc.). We could use more themed table service in the park.

I always eat there. Perhaps the powers that be will realize how many folks enjoy it and move the menu elsewhere.

And served with tropical (alcoholic) cocktails.

Right now thiose pklans are on hold. i guess we'll see what Tony Baxter has planned. I'd like to see a true BBQ restaurant in DL, either in AL or Frontierland.

Its no so much that lines are too long, but that speed of service is glacial. We never eat there for that very reason.

Of course, if the service is slow and there is demand, then perhaps they should make some changes to make it faster.
