They are useless to me because I haven't received permission from these people to have their addresses. Many of them I don't know.

Question: Unless invited to use someone's e-mail, do you use it? I won't as it would be very rude to send unsolicited e-mail to them.

I've never heard of this happening before. The only way I've ever gotten a bunch of new e-mail addresses is when someone e-mails me in a group of people and doesn't bother to BCC the other names, so that all the addresses show in the "to:" line.

To answer your question, I don't e-mail people unless I know them. So no, I wouldn't use addresses that were sent to me by a third party either.

Or maybe that freaks them out more. LOL

I definitely put my email in my profile in case someone on here wants to email me. I've gotten some wonderfully supportive and fun emails. (Only one wacko. LOL)

I'd maybe hang on to the email address list as it is probably a facebook thing and you never know.

Pixie, what is BCC? My cousin sends me emails with tons of attached addresses and that kind of annoys me as the address she has for me is the one I created for family only. Sometimes I want to forward something but I'm not quite sure how to get those tons of names to disappear.

You can copy someone on your email without their name / email addy being exposed.

Then before you send it, go down and highlight all the previous addresses in the body of the e-mail and delete that block.
