Wouldn't it be coming up soon? I'd really like to go again, but I can't find any info on it anywhere. Thanks.

WDW has a habit of picking people who aren't exactly easy on the eyes in the past decade. Disneyland seems to do much better with the cute ones, but let's hope the "One Disney" thing doesn't impact the selection of the Disneyland Ambassador.

Of course, the best looking ones were from Walt Disney's day, hand picked by good 'ol Uncle Walt himself. I absolutely adore the 1965 World of Color episode where Walt shows his hand-picked "Miss Disneyland" ambassador Julie Rheim around the Imagineering labs, and when Julie mentions to Walt she and John Hench have already met, Walt turns to the national TV cameras and says with a wink "Oh, well John knows all the pretty girls". Classic Walt!

I'll look forward to see who Disneyland picks for the 2013 version of their Ambassador.

I'm glad that men have the opportunity to participate in it, but at the same time I liked the notion of it being a young pretty girl, it's such a charming idea, and true to Walt's original intention behind the role. Well, times they are a changin'!

They just need someone who is young, attractive, perky, and polished. It seems the Disneyland Ambassador selection sticks more closely to that demographic, while the WDW selection often goes in a different direction.

I'm sure LP will cover the selection ceremony here. When do they do that again? In the fall? Or not until after Christmas?

They are very nice looking young ladies. So trim and pretty and perky. Disneyland does it again!

Now let's see who WDW digs up for their Ambassador.

They might have the token guy who would make the semi finals or something when I worked there, but that's where it usually stopped. When and why did they finally decide it was time for a man?
