Twelve voices, singing eight parts, in the Opera House just prior to the Mr Lincoln presentation.

    Be sure to hear them.

It looks like they're currently only scheduled for 5 days a week (as opposed to 7 in WDW), but hopefully that's just until they get settled. From the videos I've seen so far, it looks like a strong group that is performing very well together, but they just don't seem to completely own it yet. That's one of those things that comes with time, and I'm sure they'll get the hang of it. Right now, there seems to be a lot of schick compared to the WDW version (which I really appreciate for its straightforwardness), but it could just be a part of the process of getting used to the audience.

I hope that the venue works well for them. On previous visits to Mr Lincoln, I've noticed how acoustically dead that space is; if they can sound good in there, they can sound good anywhere. Unlike the American Adventure rotunda, which was designed with a capella acousitcs in mind, they're just getting dropped into an existing space, but they seem to be making the best of it. The format, with the performers on the stage, seems a lot more formal than WDW, where guests sit on the floor and wander around the room during performances, which has me a little worried. With a 15 minute set, followed by the entire Mr Lincoln presentation, that's a long time for some guests to sit and commit to one experience. I'm sure it will be a nice break during the hot summer months, but I am a little worried about it long term.

There's an easy enough solution for this: simply get up and leave when the performers are leaving and skip the Lincoln show. That's what I did.

Combine that with the more recent Lincoln figure - more physically articulate than the 60's version, but not the wildly gesticulating 80's version - and that would be great. I'd actually go see that again.

Though... to be honest... probably not more than once or twice. I appreciate the importance of Lincoln in DL and AA history, but I think they should move him to a smaller theatre and make better use of the Main Street space.
