They used to make waves using those machines under the boardwalk but I guess they don't do that anymore cuz i dont see them working. Anyways, I think they could spruce up the ride by doing the following things: NEW TRAINS: that have a similar look to these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...t=01m01s I was thinking the front of the car could look like the top of those towers, but the problem is, that wouldn't fit to the theme: surfing. So, maybe if they could make a nice, cool-lookin' train that looks like an old surfboard, but not too cartoonish or plasticky. I dont know..... NEW MUSIC (re-themed): Maybe something sounding more vintage, but still have an upbeat, ragtime-ish sound to it. THE QUEUE!!!: Maybe something that looks more like TSMM or just a surf shack. Add music and interactive scenes to the queue. Not as boring and just zig-zag the whole way. Yes, making it less compact would obviously push the line out the front, but I'm sure they can figure something out Also, the front sign would change obviously, to whatever the queue looks like. THE SUPPORTS/TRACK: I know Walt didn't want a wooden roller coaster in is parks, but maybe they could change the look of the supports to not be wooden-looking, but something else. I'm not sure what, but it's Disney, once again, they'll think of something. The track also includes the ugly half-pipe tubes that just look like dirty metal. I think they should enclose the entire tops and put 360 screens around them and make it look like your riding through a wave. Ehhh, maybe not. Just a thought. But it would look better having a complete tunnel than half blue and half white metal rings. Maybe a new coat of paint, maybe change some of the colors? So there's my idea. Please comment on my ideas and explain your own! I reaaallly hope they do this!!! Along with Grizzly River Rapids!

I think you're right that a new queue that outlined the theme better as guests waited to board (pun not intended) would certainly help get the message across. I disagree about Walt disliking classic wooden roller coasters, since there's really no documented evidence that this is true. Even if he did that doesn't make Screamin a bad ride or inappropriate for DCA.

The simulated wave action would be super cool though..dabob. Good idea!

The spots that need to be looked and and refurbish can easily be done during the night. Just the brake areas and the launch area and the cars. Even painting can be done done slowly over a few weeks. They didn't even close it to remove Mickey and make the Paradise Pier Sun

YES, they say get ready screamers and welcome back screamers, but I KNOW for a FACT that they say surfers sometimes! and im pretty sure there's a picture of a surfer or a wave on the single rider pass...not sure though. To everyone that is saying those arent half-pipes, there sound barriers...i know, they are just an excuse to have some type of theme...which they failed at. Also, another thing that kinda proves the whole thing about surfing theme is that the covers over the queue kind of look like changing cabanas at a beach.
