So if you are investing in stocks maybe Starbucks would be a wiser vote.

My favorite SB locations are in the international terminal at Washington Dulles airport; there are two SB's diagonally across the walkway from each other, no more than 100' feet apart. That just doesn't seem like a sustainable business model to me, especially in an area of the airport that has little foot traffic Right now everybody is really excited to see Starbucks in Disney's parks, but I wonder if in 5-10 years it will feel similar to the McDonald's presence in the parks a decade ago. I'm not a coffee drinker, so it doesn't make a difference to me either way, but I am always astounded by how excited people have gotten about it.

I don't think Host have another coffee brand. SBs are in a much healthier position that KK were pre-Chapter 11. They got killed by growing too quickly and also the low carb diet that was big for a time. Schultz is a genius of a CEO and he'll make sure that when he retires (again) SBs will be on a sound footing. Coffee isn't subject to fads.

Happily addicted. There are better coffee brands (I love Blue Bottle for example) but you get consistently good coffee at SBs. The US parks have always had awful coffee - truly awful. So the excitement wasn't necessarily for SBs - just the vast improvement over the existing offering.

I hope one day SB will come into the DLP parks as well. I like SB, especially their Pike Place Roast, and finally a SB is going to open here in Salzburg. SB isn't very big in Austria, there are a few in Vienna, and so we always enjoy SB when being abroad.

You obviously don't live here in Seattle Here it is not at all unusual to have 4 or 5 coffee shops per block. Just take your pick.
