I've been hearing several rumors for some time now. Personally, I'm hoping for an Indiana Jones Adventure but that's probably not even being considered. From what I've been told, Splash Mountain is off the list as well. Shame, as those are two of my favorite attractions at Disneyland. As ornate and pretty Disneyland Paris is, it needs a truly large scale and amazing E-ticket to put it on the map. It's rather short on E-tickets compared to other Magic Kingdom parks.

Outdated and boring, plus takes up valuable space. Star Tours desparately needs an update too. The Jules Verne prescence needs to be redefined before Discoveryland completely loses its purpose.

Exterior elements would not work as the lightest rain would shut the entire attraction down, so it's best to have the whole thing take place in a forbidden temple.

I could be wrong, but there is no way I would ride Splash in a European winter unless they could make it a dry attraction in the winter.
Originally Posted By FerretAfros It gets pretty chilly in Tokyo during the winter as well (snowing occasionally, but not as much as DLP), and they seem to manage with their version fairly well. The only thing they would really need to change on the American versions would be to make the splashdown areas after each drop longer so the log would still be able to slow down when it rides higher in the water to create less splash. To do this, they would either need a way to run the ride with less water (unlikely) or have rails that raise and lower depending on the temperature to control how deep the logs can go in that portion. For the majority of the ride, the rails wouldn't be needed since they don't create much splashing. For what it's worth, the WDW and DL versions both have these same rails after the first and last drops (not sure about the indoor ones) but the only difference is they aren't adjustable. It's fairly simple problem to fix, really.

Any water based attraction in Paris would be asking for trouble: unlike Tokyo, the weather in Europe is cloudy, tiddling rain, damp and miserable for too many months of the year. Getting wet on a ride is the last thing anyone wants to do. I do have a question: what is an EMV attraction?
