But Guest Services seems to be closing earlier and earlier lately, heck it was closed at 5 PM last night. With the new computer system, they can do almost all the stuff they can do at Guest Services at any booth. I don't think it would save much time to call in advance.

When the park opens at 8 AM or earlier, there is no rope drop. Also a week from Sunday, there is a good chance there will be no rope drop due to the CHOC walk event.
