Even the classics read "Walt Disney" Bambi or "Walt Disney" Pinnochio, completly eliminating the possesive form Disney's for several years it seems. Why don't they seem to want to own their own product? Is it a copyright/legal thing or a rebranding? Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks in advance for any help.

There are a couple of precedents: Tom Sawyer Island, and King Arthur Carousel. The island doesn't belong to Tom. It is named for him. And so on.
