As long as Disney doesn't cut off access to the publishers (which they claimed they wouldn't) TFTLP stands as a good alternative to the $16 price point with articles and insights that are just as good. In fact, I see some real inspiration from TFTLP in Disney Twenty-Three's design.

The big difference with Twenty Three is that because its an official Disney product its going to instantly get more exposure than Tales. It also makes sense now why the domestic parks were not so willing to support the magazine by selling it in the parks like the Oriental Land Company is doing in Tokyo. I certainly see a market for two Magazines, as the Disney company is just to big for one magazine to cover only four times a year. From what I have seen about Twenty Three the Magazine seems to put its energy into getting behind the domestic business, kind of ignoring completely the International side. Lets be honest Twenty Three is not going to cover the 25th Anniversary of Tokyo Disneyland and neither should it, so I feel there is plenty of room for two high quality Disney Magazines, providing both feature great articles, I only worry Disney will put a stop to Tales using its Imagineers and other creative talents for interviews in the future.
