Only click on this YouTube link if you want to see an admittedly simple yet very thorough preview of Radiator Springs Racers... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...tTT9FXru Not sure how long that video will stay up on YouTube, as it looks to be a private presentation at WDI secretly taped by an audience member. But it really whets your appetite for Summer 2012!

They were obviously not Disney Company employees in that small audience. So why does WDI do this sort of thing? Do they not realize that in the second decade of the 21st century EVERYONE has an iPhone or Android with more computing power and high-tech wizardry stuffed in their pocket than all of NASA had back in the 1970's? Why does WDI show their latest mega-budget E Ticket ride to a group of casual observers? Is it just an ego trip to prove to the pretty college coeds in the audience how cool they are? It seems like a boneheaded policy by WDI to even allow this sort of video to be shown to anyone without a corporate security clearance. Dumb!

At this point, with the attraction and new land just 6 months away from opening and new construction photos online daily, does it really matter? It's not like you can't put 2 and 2 together and figure out what the course of this ride will be. Cars Land will be a huge hit for Disney, but I said from the start that it's mostly elaborate set dressing and not much in terms of content.

Originally Posted By skinnerbox <<We're just going to have to be patient and wait to see the final product, gang. 8)>> Sorry, but the lameness shows through, changes pending or no. Disney media hacks were hyping up Little Mermaid to be the next great E-Ticket, even though it's a cute family-friendly D-Ticket, and nothing to get super excited about. Radiator Springs Racers is supposed to be the next great E-Ticket, given the several hundred million being spent to build it. And for that kind of money, it should be. But I'm simply not impressed with what it's turning out to be, even with minor show alterations. It's Test Track with a Cars theme overlay. The mediocrity shows through, even in the ride-through animatic. Look at what Uni is doing with Potter/Forbidden Journey and Transformers. Now look at this. No comparison.

The winner will be randomized. Stands to reason that something like this would get out (either leaked or by design) and folks would immediately draw final judgements. As Hitchcock would say, "It's only a mooooovie."

He loves the WWoHP, but has no interest in the attraction, finding the story line very formulaic and predictable. Don't know that I disagree. Amazing technology in the service of what is, basically, a pop-up spook house ride. As in: Look out for the spider! Look out for the dementor! Look out for the dragon!)
