No the changes from a few months ago were in teh Attic. The bride was changed and several props and portraits were added. This new addition to the Seance room (where madame Leota is) apparently was just revealed earlier this week.

It looks much like the former "ectoplasm" that was seen in that position before. The differenec now is that the small light with its trail moves across a scary face. The face fades in and out a bit.

I will not take flash photos in attractions, and flash would wash out this effect anyway. Only a long exposure would show this effect to advantage, and since we are all in moving vehicles, this is not possible.

I've seen photos of the Hatbox ghost, and I've seen the new face in the Haunted Mansion seance room.

They are definitely NOT the same.

The fading I described relates to the light that slowly moves across the face. As it moves, that area of the face flares slightly.

Otherwise, it is basically a large, static, glowing face, with a small ectoplasmic ball of light that slowly wends its way across, leaving a glowing trail that slowly fades.

His "face" has been in the mansion for over 35 years. this does NOT mean he is coming back...confirmed.
