We stay there and it is no-frills, but we have always had clean rooms and fine service. They have breakfast too. The Best Western Park Place Inn is right next door...also at the cross walk. But it costs a bit more, at least when I looked into it. Those are the closest to the main gates, unless you stay at a Disney hotel. Lately I've been staying at the Candy Cane Inn. It's around $100 less/more night but you get a great free breakfast and shuttle. But it is way close enough to walk, we only rode the shuttle a couple of times last summer there. Have a great time with your boys!

I hope you can get something in your budget so you all can have a great time! Book soon, and go during the week before Christmas, or after New Years, depending on your break. Between Christmas and New Years will be the most crowded and most expensive.

Expedia has had some awesome rates on Fairfield Inn [Marriot] which is right accross the street. Not sure about your dates, but I just booked our "mini-suite" (2 Q's and a sofa-sleeper)for just $89 a night! Have a GREAT time!
