A Tomorrow Land al la DLP? A bit of retro steampunk?

A gritty world of tomorrow with Bladerunner, Firefly, Outland?

A fantastic utopian vision from the far reaches of our current imaginations?

    What would you do?

i like the look of the Tomorrow Land at DLP with its Victorian SteamPunk look but i think they should be different

i think i would vote for a retro 1955 themed area or a ultra-future utopian theme.

A lot of what is there could easily be repurposes, as there are some really good googie bones there. They would need to do some modifications to make it look new again, but there is a lot to work with. While the '67 World on the Move was full of futurism and hope, they could kick it up another notch and make it fun and futuristic in today's society, where the future isn't seen in the same light.

However, it might be good to instead see Disney turn Tomorrowland at DL into the next generation of Future World.

I think the DLP version does this quite well. But Nemo and Buzz don't fit very well into that vision.

agree, I love the space port feel... it would work well even outside, a space port plaza, the gift shops and vendors would fit in well and the plaza would have a theme of sorts
adding a bit of glow fest is a good idea, brighten up the night

By the time they get it done it will feel nostalgic to most Americans.

Gotcha. Well if it's any consolation I'm a terrible typist and horrible proofreader. BTW, you can add the correct spelling of Tomorrowland to your dictionary in Outlook the next time it tries to correct you.

But seriously, I like the idea of the "future that never was is here now" idea. Plus the steampunk angle. And seriously, more robots. Maybe Wall*E could play a larger role somehow. Build a theme park according to what people in the '50's THOUGHT the future would be like. That could be awesome.

When Walt Disney designed tomorrowland he was thinking 20 years ahead, I think we need to do the same thing. Keep the idea of Space Mountain but I think it needs a whole new ride inside. Everything else (maybe not subs) needs to get blown up and redone. Autopia I think is the biggest waste of space where they could build some great rides. The Place is also so congested that if they do redo Tomorrowland, that needs to be the first thing they think about when they consider new attractions.
