The 14-year-old might like ESPN Zone too. Actually, all your kids might. The food is good (probably better than Rainforest actually) and they can play arcade games while you wait for a table.

I don't know any exact details on reservations for those places. In my experience we just went right in to Rainforest and ESPN there is always a pretty long wait.

Maybe someone else can give you tips on when/how to make reservations.

We had FREE meals last November and after having 1 dinner there on them, we threw away the remaining free meal coupon that we had.

    That food was beyond NASTY!

But I had free coupons too and I loved the food. We went back to use our second coupon but the line was too long...my one complaint about ESPN zone would have to be the long wait. I thought the food was fantastic!

Of course at the AK and Downtown there's not a whole lot of competition.

I saw the employees making balloon shaped animals and swords and stuff for the kid's while they were waiting to eat. I don't know if they do that all the time, but it looked like fun for them.

It feels like you're sitting in a Rainforest, "animals" are everywhere, etc. If I remember correctly, they do get pretty busy, but I doubt you need to make reservations way ahead of time... if you plan on having dinner there, just go their early morning and ask to fit you in, that should be just fine.

La Brea Bakery is nice for a lunch spot. Food is good.
