I don't know a whole lot about the BC as I have only been there visiting since that is where friends stayed. But the Poly is our favorite. The pool is fantastic. Great resturants. Rooms are very large. Very friendly CM's. Wonderful to be able to get up and see the MK right away....you can see the fireworks and water parade in the evening. Watercraft rentals right there. And the convience of monorail to MK and Epcot. Along with the boats MK. We always say we're going to stay somewhere else and always end up here in the end!! Good luck planning!!! :)

Poly in on the monorail line and Beach Club isn't but Beach Club is short walking distance to the back gate of EPCOT. Poly is my favotite on the monorail loop but still, given the choice between the two, I'd take Beach Club any day and again it's my least favorite of the DVC resorts.

Non character- I second Sci Fi theater.
I have heard coral reef is fabulous and
if you want an octoberfest type of feeling biergarten (also epcot is fun).
I havent stayed at poly or bc so I will abstain from the resort advice. But a lot of people on here seem to like Poly.
