Are the crowds enormous because of this event? Can anyone go to the event? Where is it held anyway?

    Thanks everyone!

There are reserved seats in Town Square for those who purchased dinner packages (sold out). There is a lot of standing room as well, which is open to anyone.

If you would like to see the program, arrive early and stake out your spot! Some people wait all day. However, last year we arrived about 1 hour ahead and had a decent view.

Last year it was threatening rain all day so that lightened the crowds as well. But who cares? I say have fun anyway. Dont let the crowds get you down.

As imadisneygal said, the crowds are primarily on Main Street. Once you are off that, the park is great!

We had to move our trip around this year, but the reason we have gone those days in the past was precisely because it was the Christmas in the park but not at all crowded. The candlelight ceremony never affected crowds, but as mentioned earlier, during/before the procession itself, movement can be difficult. Have a great trip!
