We have just returned from our 22nd trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando. (Been coming for 10 years now).

For our past 3 trips, we have needed to rent a mobility scooter in Orlando, due to my knees being operated on.

We did the usual thing and went through all of the companies on the internet, and came across a company that were not on Google last year. Their site was http://www.YellowScooters.com .

Now, for the past 2 years, I used apple for the scooter rental. However, Yellow Scooters supplied me with a brand new scooter for a week for only $100.00.

The scooter had a large captains chair and suspension, (which I have never seen on a scooter before). The scooter lasted all day at the parks, and even at night when I plugged it in, the battery needle had hardly dropped.

Does anyone know of any cheaper places than http://www.YellowScooters.com for a Scooter Rental Disney?

I think prices being driven down like this are great for us customers, but not so good for Disney, who still what to charge $50 a day to use an old scooter. How can they justify it.

As a retired vet, money is hard to keep hold of, so I do not see the point in paying out any more.

I would be interested to see if anyone else has found a lower price for this service?

Thanks for reading my post, and I look forward to participating in many of yours.

    Chris

Can you tell us more about arriving at your hotel and receipt and return process for this company on disney property.
    Thanks.
Also would appreciate any other suggestions. Trying to convince a relative to use one of these and their site does offer a lot of explanation with their choices. I noticed they rent baby strollers too!

We were really shocked how easy it was with the check in and out.

    The process was as follows.

    1. We ordered the scooter online by going to http://www.YellowScooters.com. We got an instant booking confirmation that we printed out.

    2. We arrived at resort and showed the receipt to the bell desk, and they had the scooter there waiting for us. It had 2 x Helium Balloons on it too, in bright yellow. (The grand kids loved that).

    3. We took the fully charged scooter to the room and used it for the rest of the day.

    4. We simply charged the scooter up every night whilst we slept.

    5. At the end of the rental, we returned the scooter back to the bell desk on resort, and they took it off us.

The guy at Yellow Scooters that we talked to, (I think he said his name was Steve), said that they have a deal with ALL of the Disney Hotels, so they are allowed to check the mobility scooters in with the bell desk early, so they are waiting for the guests.

This company had excellent customer service, and excellent scooters.

Yes, we saw that they rented baby strollers. We did not need these though, as our grand kids are too old for that. However, if they are of the same quality as their scooters, they will be the best money can buy!

We used apple before this. They were great too, but these scooters knocked the socks off the apple ones.

Good luck with your future trip. We wish we were going with you. (We have another 11 weeks until our next trip to WDW)

    Kindest regards

What did you think to those mobility scooters on the site? We had the Regal 3 scooter. With the lights, indicators and suspension.

    Have a great Sunday!

I think I am more irritated with the traveling companion pets that are everywhere now. In particular the really pampered ones. I recently saw a different Notice posted at our grocery store
