I think that if Disney cannot find people to be CMs that can handle stress-then the least that they should do is MEDICATE some of those that they do have!

That was funny! I'm sorry you encountered that behavior though. Not very magical. Hopefully the rest of your trip was still enjoyable. ~Beth

What, did they think we were not going to stop and quickly take a picture? Disneyland=pictures, people. So what do they do? They put a bulldog right on that corner and she gets to yell at everyone regardless if we are stopping or not. I stopped. And I took a picture. You don't scare me, lady.

It was truly interesting to read the instructions for CM's to herd people out and around at various timeframes to get that side of th park ready. Even on Friday they had put up ropes and guided areas to allow for continued construction.

Todays visitors are rude, self involved and obnoxious. They do not respond to civil "suggestions". Remember the saying, "I paid thousands of dollars for this trip and I will do what I want too!" If you come along right after an incident that you are unaware of what you perceive as "attitude" may be nothing more than crowd control directed at a group of people totally unresponsive to "nice" behavior. So you are not one of them. OK, so do you by any chance have a tattoo on your forehead that says, "I respond to pleasant requests all the time?" At the risk of being called an apologist (won't be the first time) these people are human. You allow yourself some slack whenever you go slightly off the deep end, do the same for others. There is a growing thought that the customer is not the only human that should be given respect as a person and not a paid for object. They have rights as well. They have the same rights that people get all bent out of shape about when they think a CM is being "Rude" to their poor sensitive little beings. I will venture a guess here and say that as the publics behavior gets more and more intolerable you will see more CM's and others demand the respect that they are entitled to be given. Remember, when you are not part of the solution you could very well be part of the problem.

The park is literally being held hostage by the studio, and all they care about is making sure that Jon Voigt looks good for the local news. Even the press get pooped upon at these things. Compare this to a regular press party- there is no comparison.
