This really does signal the end of an era of pure talent, but hopefully they will be able to recover and move on. It's amazing how many people's lives have been impacted by the Nine Old Men, without ever actually knowing who they were. I guess part of being in animation is having a big impact on people, without the celebrity that comes along with acting. He will be missed.

The spirit and soul of their animated creations is not “make-believe†but genuine. The ability to breathe life into one dimensional papyrus and graphite is a gift of the visionaries. As time brushes the last of the artist’s pencil dust to the four corners of the universe, let us relive each day knowing Ollie was an able man that knew how to touch our souls with his love and inspiration.
