I took my niece when she was 4 and not tall enough to see over the wheel. If the car had any speed I would ended up whiplash (sp?) Still pretty fun though.

They CAN it just isn't much fun. At least it wasn't for my 8 year old. Also even if they aren't tall enough they can still drive, you just have to push the "gas" pedal which is quite heavy!

I consider myself in good shape and even I struggle to hold the petal down when my kids are driving me. Last family vacation I didn't even allow my 9 1/2 year old who was approx. 57" to drive it himself! I'm still not sure about our next trip when he's 10. My oldest was able to drive himself by around age 10 -but not very well;)- of course if you asked him he'd say he's "an excellent driver"! :)

BTW, the age requirement to be a passenger is only 1 yr old...

She felt sooooo bad:)

DS10 drove his own go-cart yesterday at his b-day party. I was against it- dad insisted;-P. He did quite well so I said I'll let him drive his own car on Autopia next time:)

I heard about you at DL - they talk about that lady with all those boys who won't get off the autopia ride - and she crashes into the other cars all the time like she's in a bumper car - then blames the boys....hahhahahahha ;p

DS12 drives my now 10 yr old ds- he doesn't seem to care but I think next time he'll want his own car. Then DS8 drives my hubby, and DS6 always drives me with DS2 in the middle of us. I think DS2 might want to drive next time we go b/c he'll be almost 3 so I may have to go twice; once with DS2 driving and once with DS6 driving. :)
Well I call them go-carts- ya' know, the ones at Boomers that you drive around the track.
