I'd love to see how much more realistic they could make the birds today with the latest technology.

With the original show, it seemed like most of them left when the birds started singing "Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing". Apparently, DLR attracts more locals who have sentimental attachments to the attractions than WDW. Either way, these knuckleheads would rather leave an air-conditioned (reasonably) comfortable theater than sit through a 15 minute show. I don't HATE the new show as much as most seem to, but I do miss the original show and I would LOVE to hear the flowers sing the "Hawaiian War Chant" again. Oh well, there's always YouTube.

I see the Tiki birds fairly regularly. Good sized crowds and no walk-outs. The show was tightened up with the deletion of the Barcarolle, given a loving makeover a couple of years ago, and looks and sounds better than ever. Now, if we could just get those darn kids to stay seated, it would be perfect every time!

But I'm not convinced this crop of Imagineers actually has the talent to create something as timeless as the original Tiki Room.
