Can you tell I have kids? I have found, when going without kids, that the more I bring in, the less I eat it. Snacks to get me from meal to meal (like trail mix) and bottles of water are the main things I bring in. I also bring the Crystal Lite Mixes in case I have to refill my bottles with tap water (the walmart brand are cheaper and just as good). Also at walmart are soft-sided coolers with expandable tops for about $5. There's a plastic insert to keep items from crushing, or to keep ice from leaking. I love mine. Cold on bottom, snacks on top. Just don't carry a heavy bag by the handle if the top is expanded. That's how my brother's broke. In fact, I need to break mine out. I'm starting a diet on Wednesday and will be bringing my lunches to school during Summer session.

I've never tried to bring in any glass containers, and we don't drink, so I've never tried to bring in any alcohol.

Sandwiches don't seem to bother Security, but a loaf of bread and a package of lunchmeat make them unhappy. I don't see the difference, myself.
