It IS true: resort specfic merchandise is on the way out (or gone already) at most resorts (some exceptions include DAK Lodge, WL, Poly and GF). But BC and YC and what seems like BW (didn't get a good look) all have the same character and generic WDW crap. A very honest CM, at a resort that won't be named, said it was simply an economic decision, that some guests have complained, that he didn't agree with it, but it is what it is.

Disney dining really, really, REALLY wants you to pay $10 for an appetizer salad and I'm not talking at signature dining locales either.

I guess bumpkin tourists really love a good pork chop.

Can someone 'splain to me what this Pleasure Island place is all about? I see signs everywhere and lights and music, but that's it. Did I miss something.

Guess I slept through it, but apparently vinyl is the new cheap metal pin.

It's very easy to have a meal for $5 at Pecos Bill's ... or $2.50 if you skip the Coke.

A fanboi approached me and a very special CM Sunday night and just gushed over the construction walls ... maybe those no-lifers who live to showcase the walls are doing a service to some folks after all ... even if it's just ths special fanbois!

I rode two monorails in one.

Flowers and gardens are beautiful at EPCOT, but Flower Fest is staler than Betty White's (uhm ... nevermind, unless you saw SNL).

BTMRR is in very sorry shape these days. Many effects aren't working (they were in winter) and there are holes in walls/ceilings ... just bad show all around. PoC ... ain't much better. Mansion is a lot better, but CM who decided to talk to a friend by leaving stretch room wall cracked really needs some training.

Snow White has gotten so beyond laughable so as to not scare some special needs six-year-old (I don't care about being PC here, not at all) that it really should be ripped out and replaced by another plush and pin location.

CMs are not all that magical. Just a huge step down thus far from what I recently experienced on DCL.

You really still can find unique merchandise all over ... EPCOT. And not really anywhere else.

Are they waiting for the Seas tank to leak like a gulf oil rig before they do some work on it? Or are they hoping that happens so they don't have to actually clean the tank and add some fish?

Why can McDonald's at Crossroads make me a tasty fresh double cheesburger for $1.29, but Disney can't for $8.69?

Who here will admit to being stupid enough to pay $14 for a double burger at Beaches and Cream because it comes with pixie dust and fries on the side when they can get a burger five times as good for half the price at Fuddrucker's?

Yes, it's true: the Holiday Inn at Hotel Plaza has indeed reopened after being closed since 2004.

Remember the recent 'news' about a 'new' menu at Rose and Crown? It simply is a refreshed menu that includes many items that have disappeared over the years as well as higher pricepoints.

A great way to spent a hot day in O-Town: floating around Aquatica for hours (Roa's Rapids is best for this).

Castle dancing in synch with Disney music and lighting ... a test for Nightastic? The Pow Wow whorefest party? Both? Kewl ...

I don't miss my DDE Card at all. If you spend most/all of your money on Disney Dining, I think you've got too much money, not enough brains or a combo.

Retro tees aren't retro if you start throwing the old logos on everything.

So, you don't have any YC merchandise at the YC anymore, but you do have EPCOT Center (yes!) beverage containers?

Oh yeah, I would so spend $13.99 for a bland everyresortisthesame mug.

Is the gelato really being taken away from the BC? For what? Chicken nuggets?

It's really great that after almost a decade the BC exterior lighting looks brand new, but have you seen how many lightbulbs are out at BW? Seriously, is the GM there blind? If I were a DVC 'owner' I would think the least my dues could go for would be to make sure that you couldn't look up at vast sections and just counts dozens of dead bulbs. No excuses. What's the average rack rate? Now? Smallest room? Over $200 certainly. Over $300. Likely.

As I'm sure you've seen pics, the DD McD's is no more. And I never had one meal there.

As I'm sure you've heard, HISTA is gone. And I didn't even get a chance to go boo it one last time.

Was that puke in the LWtL boat the other night? Yeah, probably better to not know.

    Glow toys are way kewl.

Spandex doesn't ever look good. It looks really bad when you are very overweight.

If three people can block a Hub walkway with their girth, then they just may be morbidly obese.

China film already looks old and outdated.

Step right up, get your 2010 Flower and Garden Fest merchandise at 50% off ... and you don't even have to leave the park and go to an outlet.

OK, it's true, you can find a few sports theme items in the World of Disney MK store section that has sports facades outside.

Parting thought: I do like to Move It, Shake It and Celebate It. You got a problem with that?

Agreed that it's in terrible shape, but hoping that plush idea was a joke...but look whom I'm talking to...;-)

(At WDW I must not miss-at DL cover my eyes and ears) Of course people at DL have no idea it is "FUN" vs.(fun).
I wonder why the DL version is available on LP but not the WDW version.

Perhaps momentary insanity. Either that or their Snowbirds.

Just like we hate those big portions of Prime Rib.

    >> Disney dining really, really, REALLY wants you to pay $10 for an appetizer salad and I'm not talking at signature dining locales either. <<

They'll get it to, and even more. People seem to love letting the Mouse have his way with them. Now lets hear it from all those that can name places that are more expensive. So WDW is very reasonable.

    >>I guess bumpkin tourists really love a good pork chop. <<

I have to admit I love a good Pork Chop. They use to have a pretty good one at Artist Point. It's probably $30 now.

    >> Can someone 'splain to me what this Pleasure Island place is all about? I see signs everywhere and lights and music, but that's it. Did I miss something. <<

It's a place where you go for night time adult entertainment after spending a long day at River Country.

Are you going around the tables, and picking up the left over food off of people's trays?

Did she take a picture of him? :)

I hear EE has the complete collection of WDW construction Wall photos framed, and hung on his bedroom wall.

Pink, and Purple. Is that the Teal one now?

What's really going on with those folks. BTMRR is one of the best attractions at MK, and it's mainly because of it's theme, and it's effects. Letting POTC go to seed should be a flogging offense.

You're still traumatized from riding that in your youth, aren't you?

I wonder if that special needs child is the one I read about that is autistic, and has ridden Snow White over a thousand times?

Most of them are. At least in all of my experiences.

Only because of the nature of Epcot

I have noticed it's decline over the last several visits. Quite a shame. I seem to keep using that pharse quite a bit when talking about WDW.

    >> Why can McDonald's at Crossroads make me a tasty fresh double cheesburger for $1.29, but Disney can't for $8.69? <<

Because McDonalds has quality control. The Mouse doesn't have to. He'll get folks money for mediocre food, and they'll be happy to pay it. After all, it's loaded with Pixie Dust.

    >> Who here will admit to being stupid enough to pay $14 for a double burger at Beaches and Cream because it comes with pixie dust and fries on the side when they can get a burger five times as good for half the price at Fuddrucker's? <<

Pixie Dust counts for a lot!

    >> Yes, it's true: the Holiday Inn at Hotel Plaza has indeed reopened after being closed since 2004. <<

Do they rent rooms by the hour now?

Remember the recent 'news' about a 'new' menu at Rose and Crown? It simply is a refreshed menu that includes many items that have disappeared over the years as well as higher pricepoints.

Let's see now....recycling old stuff, and charging more. So what's the problem? You are reviewing WDW aren't you? That's the norm nowadays.

WDW guest demand more chicken nuggets. They are what make WDW so special. One can never have to many places to get chicken nuggets.

If Disney made a Roa's Rapids with better theming, I would literally never leave the park it was in.

I literally spent a good 3 out of 6 hours in RR when I was at Aquatica.

It's tough to be magical 24/7 365 when you're basically being worked 24/7 365 and being paid peanuts for it.

Not an excuse for every day, but sometimes it just gets to you.

Granted I never have a problem, but I'm not full time, but I pity my friends that have to work exorbitant hours to try and get by.
