I understand the need for a system like this because of the limited viewing area but to me the way to get showpasses are going to be so confusing I'm betting most guests won't even be aware of it. First of all a lot of guests won't know about showpass or where to get it and will show up at paradise park expecting to just walk in. I know some of you may say that lots of signs and stuff will help. But I've worked with disneyland guests before and most of them miss stuff like that all the time. Secondly it's a bad idea to use another rides fp for this. They should just build showpass machines at paradise park cause honestly once again even if theres signs that say WoC showpass by GRR guests will go there to get FPs for GRR not showpasses for WoC I just see this system creating headaces for both CMs and guests who will miss out on WoC due to there own stupidity. I know disney desings things like this with the mindset of guests easiley understanding what is going but they need to realise that guests who get stuff like this are in the minority of park guests.

And I still don't understand the need for a "holding area" or "Fun Glow time" in HPB. There is an entire operating theme park - why do you need a holding area anywhere? No matter how many people they put in this holding area, there will be others riding Soarin' or TSMM who will walk right to Paradise Park when the time comes for the 2nd show. How are they gonna know they were supposed to be "held" in HPB?

The opening weekend (and following weekdays when the cheap AP's get unblocked) will likely be a logistics nightmare. I may pass on that.

My guess it that TDA realized making people stand for an hour and a half would cause huge problems and allowed for sitting which cut down the amount of people in the area. That means the Parade route is going to be packed!!!!!! And by the sounds of things the Dinner Package people are going to get basically dead center (probably on purpose so AP holders have to spend money to get a good spot)

I'm kinda interested in this part thing though. I might just go check it out. The last show is is probably going to be the best. At least half of the resort leaves by 10:00 and the second show isn't even going to be announced till right before 10:00 so it will just be AP holders and it sounds like the last one is nothing but a first come first serve. Overall I think the plan works for AP holders. However poor single day ticket holders I feel bad for. They are going to be so lost! They will be sitting in the park and suddenly get kicked out and then the people who paid money or those who waited all night to get a fastpass ticket are going to take their spot. (At least Disneyland won't be as crowded as a normal summer for a while)

The reason he called is b/c they had overbooked the portion of the restaurant dedicated to WoC. So I'm guessing he knows the number of diners per show, but of course things may be changing on a daily basis...

If there are two shows a night with dinner packages, and 2 restaurants doing it, that's 500 per show, which would jibe with what Lulu was told. But do those restaurants actually seat 500? Maybe they do, but that seems like a lot, and even if they do, doesn't that crowd out anyone who just wants to eat there as a normal diner?

    This.

I'd also be willing to pay forty bucks and have the food(gross or not, I'm not in any way a food snob - not saying you are TP, I just have a very forgiving pallette!)if it meant I did not have to be herded in and rub shoulders with the gross plebs.

I would just consider WOC as a "forty dollar show with dinner". Plus since we would be coming from Australia and it's a special deal, we would have no problem with the extra cost.

Personally I think the DLR should have more things like this to separate the daytrippers/holiday visitors from the AP rabble.

Not all the tables will get the preferred vouchers.

Mickeymorris, maybe you haven't heard that there won't be seating. The CM that called me made sure I understood that this had changed. Now it's called "preferred viewing." And I'm wondering if we get mixed in with the FP rabble who will be angling for good spots too :p

The airspace above and around Disneyland (up to 3000 feet, up to 3 miles away) is designated "National Defense Airspace" and civilian use is prohibited, unless Disney requests a waiver for something they need. So I doubt there will be helicopters close enough and low enough to disturb the guests.
